DVR-810 FIRMWARE UPDATE VERSION 3054

AFTER INSTALLATION OF THE FIRMWARE UPDATE, ANY CUSTOMIZED SETTINGS (SCHEDULED TIMERS, VIDEO RESOLUTION, ETC.) WILL BE RESET TO THE ORIGINAL FACTORY DEFAULT VALUES.  ANY RECORDED TITLES WILL NOT BE AFFECTED.

Please refer to the following instructions to update the DVR-810 to the latest firmware. You will require an empty “USB flash/thumb drive” with a capacity of greater than 5MB to perform the firmware update.

TO MINIMIZIE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH VIDEO AND/OR AUDIO RECEPTION:

1. Ensure that your antenna system is optimized for DTV reception.
2. Minimize any possible source of electrical interference (impulse noise). Sources include faulty fluorescent lights,
      electrically noisy motors, faulty light switches, light dimmers, etc.

PROBLEMS/ISSUES RESOLVED WITH FIRMWARE RELEASE - V3054

1. Improves rejection of unwanted services specifically where multiple translators are present.
2. AC3 (Dolby Digital) update.  Resolves the possibility of AC3 audio affecting system stability.
3. Changed the way reception errors are displayed from skipping frames to macro blocks.
4. The deleting of a record while recording is in progress is now prevented.

DVR-810 FIRMWARE UPDATE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE NOTE:

1. DO NOT DRAG-AND DROP THE FIRMWARE UPDATE TO THE USB FLASH/THUMBDRIVE.
2. ANY CUSTOM SETTINGS (TIMER SCHEDULES, VIDEO/AUDIO SEETINGS ETC.) WILL BE RESET TO THE FACTORY
      DEFAULT VALUES AFTER THIS UPDATE.

To Transfer the Firmware Update To A USB Flash/Thumb Drive

1. The firmware update is in the form of a “zip” file.
2. Save the zip file.
3. Extract the contents of the “zip” file using an extraction tool such as Winzip.
4. Insert a USB flash/thumb drive into a USB receptacle on your PC.
5. Once extracted, double click on the DV icon (DVR-810 .exe).
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the transfer of the DVR-810 firmware update to the USB
      flash/thumb drive.
7. Remove the USB flash/ thumb drive from the PC.

To Install the Firmware Update On The DVR-810

1. Insert the USB flash/thumb drive in the USB port located on the rear of the DVR-810.
2. Press the Menu button on the RCU.
3. From the Main Menu screen select Setup. Press Enter.
4. From the Setup screen select USB Firmware Update.  Press Enter.
5. Select Yes from the confirmation message that is displayed to continue with the firmware installation update.
6. Installation of the new firmware is complete once “Select State” is displayed.
7. Remove the USB flash/ thumb drive from the DVR-810

On completion of the firmware installation and when prompted, select the State and then proceed to the Installation menu to perform the tuning procedure.
